How would I get a guild logo?--Just right click on an image and click on 'save image as...' save it as a gif. or something like that. Then go to your guild and click on load image. click on the image that you just saved and bottom bing bottom boom!

How do I get backrounds, music, and layouts onto my shop and userlayouts?--Just copy the code that is provided and paste it into your shop description or where you would talk about yourself in your userlookup.

What is an Auction?-- If you have an item that you no longer want, you can put it up for auction and other people will be able to bid on your item. The person who bids the highest price recieves the item. You can set a minimum price and say how long you want the auction to go on for.

SHOPS

Why does a Faerie tell me I can't use the Shop Wizard?--If you ghet a message from a faerie whenever youtry to use the Shop Wizard, this mans youa re on a quest. The faerie want you to get something for her and using the shop wizard would make it too easy.

If you can't remember what the item was, or you want to stop doing the quest, go to the Quests page. (Click on World and then Quests) Here the faerie will tell you what she is looking for and you can refuse the quest if you wish. Once you give her the item, or refuse the quest you will be able to use the Shop Wizard again.

When people buy from my shop, why don't I get the Neopoints?--When someone purchases something from your shop, all your earnings go into your shop till. You can withdraw money from your shop till by clicking on your Sales History. Here it will show you all recent sales and tell you how much you have in your till. Type in the amount you wish to withdraw and your account will be credited immediately.

What does haggle mean?--Haggling is when you try to get a better price for an item by talking to the shopkeeper. You need to offer an amount less than the shopkeeper wants and he will try to get you to raise your price. The aim is to meet somewhere in the middle on a price that both you and the shopkeeper will accept.

Bear in mind if your offer is too ridiculously low the shopkeeper may be insulted and throw you out of his shop.

When is Half Price Day?--To celebrate the third day in every month, the Neopian shops have a half price sale. Put it in your calendar so you don't miss out :)

How do I create my own shop?--To create your own shop, click on 'Shops' (in the yellow side bar). Then click on Your Shop (this is the shop shape in the toolbar, it is next to your items). You can create your own shop by clicking on 'Create/edit' shop.

Can I delete my Shop?--Once you have created a shop, you cannot delete it. It is yours forever. You can just stop using it whenever you wish though.

My shop is full, yet I cannot see any items when I go to my Shop Front, why?--You need to enter the price you want people to pay for your items before they will go on sale. Click on 'Stock' and enter prices for your items. They will now be displayed when people go to your shop.

How do I edit my shop?--To edit your shop, click on 'Shops' in the yellow toolbar. When the shops page loads click on the 'Your Shop' link in the top toolbar. Once your shop loads, click on the 'Create/Edit a Shop' option. Now you can change your shop name, description, your shop keeper image, name and greeting. Once you have made your changes, press the 'Update Shop' button.

Where are the guilds and what are they? --Guilds are special interest clubs that you can create/join to meet other players with similar likes and dislikes. You can find new friends and chat about your favourite things :) To get to the Guilds page, click on 'Shops' in the yellow toolbar. When the shops page loads, click on the 'Guilds' link in the toolbar.

What is the purpose of guilds? --Guilds are just special interest clubs that anyone can join. There is no real advantage or disadvantage if you decide not to join a guild. You can find new friends with the same interests as you (e.g Skating, Chias, Drawing), and you can normally find a lot of people to practice with in the Battledome.

How do I create a guild? --To start your own guild go to the Guilds page and press 'Create a New'. To get to the Guilds page, click on 'Shops' in the yellow toolbar. When the shops page loads, click on the 'Guilds' link in the toolbar. (It is a blue/green castle). Remember you can only create or join one guild so choose wisely:)

How do I join a guild? --When you have found the guild you want to join, go to the guild page. You should see a 'Join Guild' link under the 'Options' header along the left. Click that link and you will become a member of that guild

How do I get to my guild? --To get to your guild, click on 'Shops' then click on the 'Guilds' link. Once the Guild main page loads, click on the 'Teleport' link in the toolbar. This will take you directly to your guild. Note you have to be a member of a guild for this to work! '

What options do I have when I create a guild? --When you are creating your new guild, you have quite a few options to choose from.

Guild Neighbourhood
There are many neighbourhoods that you can choose from, and each neighbourhood has a unique theme. Try to choose a neighbourhood that will best suit your guild's theme.
Guild Description
This will be the text along the top of your guild. The description is placed along the top of your guild as a brief intro to what your guild is about. The description is also used when searching for guilds, so make sure that it is something catchy.
Guild Welcome
This is the welcome message that is displayed when a user goes to your guild's front page. Use this area to update members to new events, news, etc.
Guild Privacy
You have the option of making your guild public or private. If you choose to make your guild private, then it will not show up when users are searching the the guild neighbourhoods. You will have to invite members directly in order for them to get to your guild.
Guild Colours
You can customise all of the colours used for your guild layout. This includes the text and border colours. Try creating a colour scheme using the drop down boxes and then click on Preview. This will open a new window showing you how your colour scheme would look. If you don't like the colour scheme, simply try changing the colours and clicking on Preview until you are happy with the colour scheme.

I have lost my password, What do I do?

Go to LOG IN (towards the bottom of the yellow neopets toolbar) and then fill in your username in the LOST YOUR PASSWORD box. Your password will now be e-mailed to you. It may take as long as 2 hours to get o you!

How do I change my password or information?

Go to My Prefs, here you can change your password, email address and what other people can find out about you. When you are choosing a new password, try not to pick an easy to guess one such as password or neopets. Try adding some numbers e.g. picture1982. Make sure you choose something you can remember, or write it down and keep it in a safe place where no one can find it except for you!

If you are under 13 and haven't sent in the Consent Form, we cannot allow you to enter any personal information, but you can change your password.

How do I change my username?

I am afraid you cannot change your username once it has been created.

I am not getting my activation code, why?

You may have entered the wrong email address when you signed up, or your inbox may be too full to accept any more emails (this happens quite a lot if you use a free email service and do not delete your old emails).

You can go to any page on the Neopets site (http://www.neopets.com) and you can request it again. Simply click on the word "activation" in the pink activation box. This will take you to a new page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button to request that your code be sent to you again. If you entered your correct e-mail address, and you signed up for a 13 and over account, it will be sent to you.

What is an activation code?

The activation code is a unique password that you need to enter to activate your account. Your code is shown in the e-mail you received shortly after signing up. It is the last set of letters and numbers shown after the web address. For example if your e-mail has the link http://www.neopets.com/activate.phtml?code=TNCY3 your code would be TNCY3.

If you are confused how to log on, simply click on the link that is in the e-mail you were sent. It will look something like this http://www.neopets.com/activate.phtml?code=TNCY3

If you received several e-mails because you signed up with more than one account, you need to make sure you are entering the correct code for each. It will tell you what account the code is for in the e-mail.

Why do I need the activation code?

An activation code is a unique set of numbers and letters that you need to enter when you create an account. The code helps stop people creating fake accounts to cheat/annoy other players as you need to have a valid email address before you can play.

If an account is not activated is it deleted?

No, if an account is not activated, it just waits until it is activated.

Can I get the activation code emailed to me again?

If you did not receive or have accidentally deleted the e-mail we sent you stating your activation code, you can go to any page on the Neopets site and you can request it again. Simply click on the word "activation" in the pink activation box. This will take you to a new page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button to request that your code be sent to you again. If you entered your correct e-mail address, and you signed up for a 13 and over account, it will be sent to you.

I am under 13, can I get my activation code again?

If you signed up with an under-13 account, you cannot request your activation code again, because your e-mail address cannot be stored after we send you the e-mail with your code. You will have to start over with a new account, and be sure to enter your e-mail address correctly.

I keep getting Invalid Code when I try to enter my activation code, why?

If you get an "Invalid Code" error message this means you are entering the wrong code. Make sure you are trying to log on to the account that is stated in the e-mail. Each account has an individual code.

How do I unsubscribe/delete my account?

Sob... don't you want me?
If you really don't want your NeoPets and wish to delete your account, please email unsubscribe@neopets.com. If you just wish to remove your email address, click on Your Preferences. You will need to enter your password before you can make any changes.

There is an automatic link to delete your account at http://www.neopets.com/remacct.phtml but why not put your pets in the Neolodge and take a vacation before permanently deleting your account?

How do I enable cookies?

This depends on what browser you are using. A browser is the program you use to load webpages, normally Internet Explorer, Netscape or AOL. Each version may vary slightly so it is best to look in your browsers help files. (A browser is the program you use to view webpages) Normally it is an option in your internet settings but searching for 'cookies' in your browsers help file is your best bet.

Sometimes your firewall or other security features will not let you access certain things on Neopets (like collecting your bank interest. You will need to set your security features to allow Neopets site access. This should be done by an adult with the software manual.

I have changed my email address, how do I update this?

You can only do this if you are over 13 years of age, or you have sent in the parental consent form. Click on 'Help' in the yellow side bar. You will see an animated button that says change your password/preferences. Click on that button. Now you can enter your new email address. You will need to enter your password in order to change any of your personal information.

How do I view/change my details?

To see what details other people can see when they look up your account, type your username in the search box (this is in the yellow side bar). You can change what your profile says on the Neochat page. Scroll to the bottom and there is space to type in a brief description and select some of your interests.

How do I link to Neopets?

You can link to Neopets in many different ways. You can use pictures, banners, text links, etc. If someone signs up following one of your links, you will earn Neopoints and prizes with our referral program. For full details of how to link to Neopets and the referral program click here. Alternatively you can click on the small 'link to us' text at the bottom of the yellow side bar.

What is the referral program?

The referral program is a great way for you to earn Neopoints and prizes simply by having a link to Neopets on your webpage, shop or anywhere on the internet. You can read the full details on the Referral page. You can find this by clicking on the small Link to Us text at the bottom of the yellow sidebar.

Be sure that the link includes your username so that you will get referral credit. It should look like this:

How do I get referral points?

You are given refferal points when someone creates a new account using the link with your username on the end. Note that there is no point in putting that link in your shop or guild since only people with an existing account can see them. You can (and should) put them on your personal web page and pet's pages. Be sure to include the copyright info on any page with Neopets images on it.

What are Neobadges and buttons?

You can brighten up your shop, web page or noticeboard with a Neobadge or Button. They are basically small Neopet images that link to Neopets. If someone signs up with Neopets after clicking on your Button or Neobadge, you will get a whole range of prizes from Neopoints to rare items. For more details see the Link to Us section. You can get to any of these pages by clicking on the words 'link to us' at the bottom of the yellow side bar. (This is in small text underneath your username and pet's name)
