Defenders of neopia

Not all of the pets in neopia are nice and friendly and cuddly,
some are pure EVIL!!

Defenders of Neopia, is Neopets way of beating up the not
so nice people who prey on defenseless pets.

If you visit Judge Hogg at the defenders head quarters, he
will give you a breakdown of the latest victim and of course the culprit.
You have to track the culprit down (see
list below) and beat them into oblivion, in a one player challenge.

Newbie battle plan
Main Weapons
As main weapons dual Bronze Short Sword's are good because they are
cheap and do
6 icons most of the time and occasionally 5 but only cost 3000np so they
are good.

Freezing Weapon
As a freezing weapon use a Snow globe Staff because they can either make a
yellow snowball(7 to 9 icons),
attack with 6 icons, freeze (it breaks for the rest of the battle), block
an icy snowball (if 1 isn't used it does nothing) or break for the rest of the battle. It only costs 2000np and it is
quite good.

Backup weapon
As a backup weapon use Fire Snow because it does 4 icons and defends from
1 fire and 1 dark to 7 fire and 7 dark icons and only costs 1200np so it's brilliant for a backup and spare defense weapon
so its sort of a double backup weapon.

Defense Weapon
As defense weapons use a leaf shield and a large metal shield. That way you
can block 4 fire 4 air and practically all the water and earth your opponent could throw at you so they would have to use
light or dark icons which are quite rare. Together they cost 1700np.

Healing Weapon
As a healing weapon use a Slime Potion for they are 1000np and heal 10 which
is much more cost affective than the BSS (Bronze Scorchstone) which costs 10,000np and heals 15 so instead of almost 1000np
per hp healed it's100np per hp healed.

Extra
You may want to buy a Downsize! as an extra weapon because that blocks half the icons
thrown at you.
Weapons
A Sparkshooter(3 icons,100np),A Clockwork Quiggle(100np,4 icons)2 yellow snowballs(5
np ea,7 to 9 icons, single use) and a Pale Elixir( heals 9,10np,single use).
This way you can have a large attack, continuous attack and healing all for under 250np. |

 JOIN THE BATTLE! |
 READ THE STORY |
I am reporting about the Meridell war number 2.
Unlike the first war there were limits on the numbers of opponents. First Lord Kass, sent 5million spyders to attack. The news quotes Citizens of Neopia, Meridell
needs your help!
The evil Lord Kass has sent down Giant
Spyders.... or maybe he just took normal Spyders and made them big with his evil magic... who knows. Regardless, they are
eating the Meridell crops, scaring the farmers, and need to be defeated! Can you help Meridell?

Extra Comments |
There multiple use scary spyder
(usually single use) makes them very difficult for the level of pets that will fight them. Also their multiple use slime potion
means they can repeatedly heal, making them harder still for the level of pets that will fight them. |

|
After a large amount of spyders
had been defeated Kass sent 25000 skeith soldiers, first released weaker, gaining only 2 hp a win and worth 2 points, then
re-released later, 100000 this time worth 3 points a win. The news quoted Spyders? Pah they were only there to distract
you from the REAL opponents. Skeith Soldiers have landed in the fields of Meridell and the onslaught continues...

Not much to say, easier than
the spyders in the essence that they can’t heal and don’t have a multiple use single use weapon but harder because
of more hp. |

Before the next wave arrived
we got this news on the shields:
- Just a quick note to remind you about the User Lookup
Shields. There was a bit of confusion over the Darigan war and not everybody kept their shields. If you get over 10
points in this war you will be able to keep them!

Ranks go: Peasant:

Then we had a wave of Eyrie Guard, most people couldn’t kill the challengers after the
eyrie guard but they had not yet maxed out on skeith soldiers. The news quotes: If you thought the Skeith Soldiers were
tough you haven't seen anything yet. This new group of challengers are mean and tough. What sort of creature do you think
Lord Kass would have for a guard anyway!

They have a multiple use radioactive muffin which makes them hard. They are easier than the
spyders would be for the types of people battling because they can’t multiple heal. |

|
The next wave where Zombie pet pets, and they could multi heal and use their once per battle
item, single use items and there auto freeze item multiple times. The news quoted: A new legion of evil has invaded Meridell.

Their multi heal, freeze and single use items make them a very formidable foe. They where the
last challenger I could defeat. |

|
Next Kass sent 100000 more skeith soldiers and eyrie guard to attack Meridell. The profiles
are above and the news quoted: That dastardly Kass had a few tricks up his sleeve after all. Yes, secondary waves of Skeith
Soldiers and Eyrie Guards have joined the battle. Come on, fight to save Meridell, what are you waiting for?
Next came the war machines, and more and more pets being unable to fight, the 100000 war machines
lasted a very long time. Especially with their multiple full heal and total blocker. The
news quoted: The ground beneath our feet is shaking with the force of Lord Kass's next attack! The war machines are moving
across Meridell tearing everything apart. How many of our soldiers are left that can fight these monstrous machines?!?!

Next the peasants from Meridell(that the court dancer kass sent had hypnotized) attacked Meridell,as
zombified peasants.Once again, multiple full heal and a multiple definite freeze. The news quotes: Kass's second in command,
the evil hag Morguss has been working her magic on the peasants of Meridell. The Sixth Wave features Zombified Peasants!
The war is taking its toll on Meridell. Just like with the previous invasion, some
of the attractions around Meridell have been destroyed by the evil forces of Kass. Potato count, pick your own, and all
the non flash activities in Meridell are no longer possible because of the effects of the war. The earlier waves have been
re-released too, allowing players to max out on other opponents.

|
During the time between this wave and the next there was a glitch resulting in some of the top
players self freezing to protect them selves. The ones who got unfrozen first stopped fighting so that the other players would
be able to get points at the same time. When the next wave, 10000 blugthaks got released the players started fighting again.
The news quoted: We told you that Kass had tricks up his sleeves... yes, a huge four-armed two-headed brute has just been
spotted in Meridell, and he's smashing everything to pieces! What's more, he seems to be getting stronger! Help King Skarl
out, he needs every last one of you!

Group Role: Talinia can cast multiple targets, effectively attacking all her enemies.
Can slow & stun enemies.
Advised Skills: Damage Increase (she does need to do damage!), Innate Melee Haste,
Multiple Targets (group attack!), Shockwave (stun), Ranged Shot (enemies attacking her are "stunned").
Somehow, I managed to avoid Shockwave so far. It's possible to survive without
it. Slowing gives a miniscule slow % every time she hits someone, but that may be resisted (if it accumulates, however, it
can be good!).
Velm
Found: Waset Village (Act 3).
Velm is another spell-caster. He can take damage, and is downright useful!
Group Role: Velm heals your team (instead of them wasting their turns), and can
deal damage (and delay attacks) using Celestial Hammer.
Advised Skills: Group Healing (heals your party in 1 turn, rather than 4), Celestial
Hammer (45 damage + 3 second stun), Innate Melee Defence, Innate Casting Haste.
Group Protection is nice, although a bit of a passive skill - you cast it only
once - and you might have spent 15 points on it. Celestial Hammer & Group Healing should be trained first
HINTS & TIPS
1. The farther away from the city you travel, the stronger the enemies get. 2.
The more creatures you defeat, the faster you will gain levels. 3. Collect items to have objects (such as the wands or
Armour) made; it seems like a waste of time in the beginning, but they just might save your hide later in the game. 4.
Go back and talk to ppl more than once. You might learn something new! 5. Have patience.*and lots of it* (maps don't hurt
either lol)
6.Remember to rest when possible, that is your last save point, the last thing
you want to do is go all the way back to the beginning of a level because a few lupes kill you off!
SKILL POINTS
Every time you beat enemies you get experience points, after a while you'll gain
a level and a skill point or two.
POTIONS
There are lots of potions in the gains. The enemies will give you healing potions
but on shops you can buy more. There are attack potions which do damage on enemies, sometimes these potions won't work good
with masters, but try a few. There are potions to make you fast and some to make enemies slower, these are great for masters,
specially the ones that like to heal and use mesmerize on your characters.
MASTERS
There's always a grand master in each stage that you'll have to beat. Some masters
are a bit tricky. I like using the slowness potions on them. After u beat them, they will give you Armor or weapons for your
character and neopoints!
STAGES
There are 5 stages in the game, every time you beat the grand master, you'll start
off in a new place. This is really fun, because it's a change in scenery and some stages are easier than others.
MAPS
There are many sites on the internet and with a little searching they can
be found and will prove to be very helpful in your quest to find your way.
GOOD LUCK and have fun everyone. Remember, There's a shiny TROPHY for everyone that beats the game and 10,000 NPs. You also get neopoints as you play
the game!
