Terror Mountain or "Winter World" History
Originally refered to as 'Christmas World', and unofficially called "Winter World", this world is actually
three lands in one! Firstly you can go to Happy Valley, a snowy hamlet at the foot of the mountain, then traverse your way through the Ice Caves, and lastly to the peak of Terror Mountain itself!
Location : 210 km N of Neopia Central Population : 14,231 (51% Poogle, 27% Bruce, 11% Chia, 9% Lenny,
2% Other and one Tuskaninny called Colin) Area : 150 sq. km GDP : 6.7 million NP Weather
: High Winds and Snow Squalls Terrain : Glaciated Mountains and Steep Cliffs Elevation : 12,035 km above
sea level |
High atop Winter World stands the massive Terror Mountain. Its soaring, jagged and pointy peaks take up more than 1000 kilometres of the glaciated Winter World. In all its girth, the
mountain itself is home to active tidewater glaciers, which are continually changing the shape of the mountain, making it
the ultimate and extremely dangerous playground for the infamous Poogle Racers.
Many Neopians travel from afar to take the Alpine Challenge or test their reflexes trying to whack that tricky Beast. But most of the visitors that pass through here come to get away from the city life and wish to enjoy
the abundant naturalistic scenes that Terror Mountain has to offer. On clear days Wild Moehogs are often seen on the steep
cliffs chomping away at the flora. Poogles, Lupes, and other numerous furbearers, not to mention a few Speckled Usuls are
frequently spotted on the mountaintop, while the Lennys nestle in their nests, protecting their young from vicious predators.
Terror Mountain is an area of sheer rock walls towering above Happy Valley and the Ice Tunnels, which connects it with the Ice Caves. Most of the area is rugged snow and glacier covered mountains with steeply walled valleys dotted with high cascading waterfalls.
The beautifully shaped Tuskaninny Plant grows on the lower slopes, whereas the White Lulu can be found glistening at the very top of the mountain.
Though there are only two ways to access Terror Mountain, there are many, many ways to leave... so watch your step, falling
off could mean the very end of your stay. Just ask that Cliffhanger how hard it is to hang on.

Terror Mountain Ski Lodge - Nobody actually knows the origin of the Ski Lodge itself, some say it was owned by a family of rich Neopians that died
in mysterious circumstances...some say it's haunted. Some say that the only sounds heard are the ear piercing screams of former
guests. There are only two things to remember if you dare to enter: wipe your feet on the mat... and don't touch anything
as you don't want to leave a trace and become a prime suspect.
